City Financial appoints Chris Coombe as Chief Financial Officer

City Financial, the rapidly growing independent asset management business, has appointed Chris Coombe as Chief Financial Officer with effect from 23 June 2014.

Chris will report to Andrew Williams, Chief Executive, and will lead City Financial’s Finance, Operations and Client Services, Regulatory Compliance, Legal, Technology, Facilities and Human Resources teams.

With over 30 years of experience in the industry, Chris has held a number of senior roles, including, Chief Financial Officer of Fidelity Worldwide Investment and Group Financial Controller of Schroders in the UK. Chris has also gained significant international experience in executive management at Prudential Securities and Morgan Stanley and has served as a Non-Executive Director of shipping and financial services businesses. More recently he was based in Abu Dhabi, as Chief Executive of the joint venture between Mubadala Development Company and Mesirow Financial and as Chief Operating Officer of Invest AD. Chris graduated from Oxford University (Merton College) in Chemistry.
